FrontFoot Media Initiative has announced its first series of workshops in fulfillment of its media capacity development objectives.

It will consist of two-day workshops at which journalists will learn to mine state government audit reports for stories that will boost transparency and accountability in Nigeria.
The first, on  October 5/6, will take place in Benin City and will be attended by journalists from Edo and Delta States.
The second, on October 26/27, Â will attract journalists from Anambra and Enugu States and take place in Awka, the Anambra capital.
Each workshop will feature between 20 and 30 participants drawn from print, broadcast, and online media platforms. Facilitators will include media experts, accountants and audit experts.
FRONTFOOT is undertaking the training as part of the Collaborative Media Engagement for Development Inclusivity and Accountability Project (C-Media) project of the Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism, sponsored by the MacArthur Foundation.
